Tanya Habjouqa

Tanya Habjouqa is a Jordanian-American photographer based in East Jerusalem. She won a World Press Photo award for her project Occupied Pleasures, and has captured images not generally seen from the region. Through her work, she continues to gain unique access to sensitive gender, social, and human rights stories across the Middle East.

Tanya worked with RIWAQ in documenting the physical and social fabric of the 50 Villages Rehabilitation Project in the West Bank. Photographs shown are from: Rantis, ‘Abwein, Jaba’, and Asira ash Shamaliya.
