Ziyah Gafić, born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, is a documentary photographer who has traveled extensively to more than forty countries for his work, including: Palestine, Kurdistan, Iraq, Rwanda, Chechnya, Lebanon and Afghanistan. He focuses on the aftermath of war, and capturing the determination of people attempting to carry on with their lives. His photo essay on Bosnia was published in the book Tales from a Globalizing World by Thames & Hudson.
