CROPS & SEEDS
The Jerusalem countryside was a major source of agricultural crops and raw materials for the city, as the city relied on the surrounding villages to provide crops and agricultural products. Al Jib was one of the villages provided Jerusalem with some agricultural crops. Al Jib was known for cultivating armenian cucumber, okra and wheat as main crops, through which it formed production relationships with the surrounding countryside through the exchange of crops and seeds, and with the city of Jerusalem through the sale of crops and products.
